Learn, Grow, Inspire
General
We provide all clients with our policies and guidelines handbook at the time of registration and require them to sign an agreement to follow these policies and procedures. Some of the key policies, as highlighted in this handbook, are as follows:
We require a deposit of the first and last month’s tuition at the time of registration, to guarantee a child’s spot in our program.
We require a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice when a child will no longer be attending our facility, to allow time to fill their spot.
We follow the Ministry of Education guidelines in terms of when a child is too sick to attend class and will follow these guidelines closely.

Clients are required to notify us when their child is unable to attend class, which they may do quickly and easily through the HiMama app, through which we track attendance.
The facility maintains detailed emergency response procedures which all staff must be familiar with.
Food and Nutrition
We are proud to offer catered, nutritious and locally sourced meals inclusive of a hot lunch and two snacks per day.

Our catering partner provides nutritious food which offer globally inspired dishes for children with natural ingredients and an abundance of fresh produce. They use Ontario-raised meats without added hormones or routine antibiotics. They also cater to allergies and provide vegetarian and vegan meals made fresh in their kitchen.
Additionally, parents may bring in breast milk or the formula of their choosing for their infant children.
Health and Safety
Health and safety of our students, and employees is of the utmost importance. We take all necessary precautions including:

Sanitized equipment, toys, supplies multiple times throughout the day
Application of plexi glass and social distancing as appropriate

Technology and Convenience
Kids Connect uses technology (mobile app or online access through your phone or desktop) to facilitate quick and efficient communication between staff and parents. This allows us to efficiently manage:
Attendance management, scheduling and reporting
Digital daily sheets with meals, naps, activities, daily reports
Student billing, staff ratios and management
Real-time photo and video updates to parents
Our software saves time for the teaching staff, by making it quick and efficient to log information in one place as opposed to filling out lengthy paper work in multiple binders and computer systems.

It also provides parents with clear and up to date communications about their child’s day, versus less effective methods of paper log sheets and verbal communications when parents are rushing to drop off or pick up their children. And finally, it’s more environmentally friendly and reduces paper needs.
